About Me

 As the Founder of GAP Prayer Warriors Ministry, I am Minister Carrie Lee Harper Walton. I attended International Seminary in Orlando, Florida, in 1979 under Dr. Glen E Tyler after graduating from Florida State University (FSU) in 1975 with a Degree in Special Education, EMD, TMD and PMD. At an early age I began to learn the power of prayer and that God could do everything except fail. 

My husband and I attended different high schools in Seminole County where we lived; but believing God was in our midst, we both were able to attend Florida State University on the same type of scholarship. We knew our families couldn’t afford to send us to college, so our goal was to go to college on scholarship, and we knew that meant we had to work hard.  6 years later, with my husband, Dr. Walton, we began our ministry at Ft. Myer Army Post in Arlington, Virginia. Our congregation consists of members from all branches of the military, government workers and civilians.  During our time while stationed at Ft. Myer our family grew to 3 girls; Pamela, Faith and Hope and the passing of one, Patience; the congregation was there with us and for us. during that time. This military congregation's Gospel Choir in 1982, did an East Coast Concert Tour, which was unheard of at that time, ministering at civilian and military installations. I was so proud to be one of the lead singers in that choir. My husband and I shared everything we had been taught in seminary to our congregation, to include Evangelizing and Street Ministering, a Seminary Bible Class for the troops and we both served as Adjunct professors. Several of those troops went on to become Pastors and are still Pastors even today. The congregation included enlisted troops both on and off post, as well as civilians from various backgrounds and their families.  We provided a family atmosphere, and it resonated with our troops, caring and being there for each other became so important. Many of our troops were very young and it was nothing for Dr. Walton and me to have a house full on Sunday after church eating and sharing the Sunday meal with our girls.  The congregation frequently visited and regularly ate the meals I prepared, and they all loved it.  

Our service grew and our Post commander was often seen standing in the back of the church watching, smiling, and enjoying our service. He was so proud seeing his troops attending service regularly.  Dr. Walton and I taught the importance of Baptism, we baptized the troops in the community pool on post which allowed all the troops to watch this important event from their room windows, God’s way of advertising. We would then march back to the chapel and have Bible Study. It was during these times that Dr. Walton and I, along with our family of troops, began to learn about prayer and its POWER.

My ministry grew to another level when the Father  birthed in my spirit “GAP Warriors Ministry” God’s Anointed Prayer Warriors.  I was so thankful how Dr. Walton became so supportive in this Ministry.  I saw how  God enabled dedicated Prayer Warriors to STAND in the GAP for those who couldn’t stand firm for themselves at a crucial time in their life. These Warriors prayed believing YES was the ONLY answer available to them.  Whenn I would send out Prayer request I always ended the email with"NOW do what you do BEST".   This ministry has seen the hand of God work Miracles over 12 years from 1996 to 2008, and he is still showing He’s God all by Himself!! Because of many situations that have come about with GAP Ministry, I was inspired to do a CD on “Healing Scriptures” in 2008, and write a book entitled, “You Are Already Healed”.  I took a sabbatical in November of 2008 because Dr. Walton was diagnosed with stage 4 Prostate Cancer Metastasized and given 3 to 6 weeks to live. 2008 I stepped away from my Heartbeat, GAP Warriors Ministry.  Dr. Walton and I continued to stand in the GAP for others as well as each other. I became ton's Caretaker, but he proved to be that brave and strong solider, that Proud Man of God, who continued to walk on his own and minister to all that was under his voice. On December 10, 2021, he and the Holy Father decided it was time for him to take his rest. These past 3 Plus years, has been hard, lonely and almost unbearable for me, but I can only speak the Father’s Words, “He will put no more on me than I can bare”, so in Christ, I am determined to go forth, still “STANDING IN THE GAP”.   September 2025 will be the year that I will launch again GAP Warrior Ministry.   Once again, I am seeking for Dedicated Prayer Warriors to Stand in the GAP, as stated in Ezekiel 22:30; Warriors will stand with me praying for others, our country, our leaders and each other. Prayers will be received and prayed daily, STANDING in the GAP, each person’s name, prayer request and need will be spoken by every warrior several times a day. This will be POWERFUL.
